Happy New Year (5 days late)!

Well, I have been remiss in posting lately - we had such a nice break over the holidays that I never broke away to write about our escapades. We had a wonderful visit with Jason's parents. It makes me wish all of our family lived in one place.

Since it's been so long, I'll give a very quick rundown of our lives over the past 2 weeks:

Christmas morning was very fun - Anna's laughter and excitement made the day very special. As my dad said when we talked to him that morning, "Kids deserve all the Christmas they can get." What did surprise me (although I'm not sure why), were the presents Anna got excited about. She did like her workbench from Santa, but the real winner of the day was a seahorse for the bathtub and Tope's gift from Santa (the litter box). Go figure...

We also did lots of cooking (and dishwasher running)...

Made several trips to Home Depot (more on that in a later post)...

Went to the aquarium...

And ate our black-eyed peas on New Year's Day (we rang in the New Year in a very quiet manner - i.e., went to sleep at 10, woke up in 2009...lame I know!)

More posts soon, I promise!

Happy 2009!
