Yesterday was a banner day for James - he doused me with pee, poop and spit up, all in the matter of hours. Took six weeks to achieve that milestone so I should be grateful. More importantly, he also SMILED! First at me and then several times at Anna. We're trying to get a shot of it but so far he's being very judicious with what and who earns a smile. But, there's nothing like those crinkly little eyes and toothless gums to melt your heart.

Alex has been walking around with James' birth announcement for DAYS showing me the baby. He's particularly fond of the photo with Anna holding James.
